MIZUNO brings a major innovation to the popular WAVE RIDER 10 by equipping the sides of the shoe with detachable silver metal chains and LOGO charms. In 1997, MIZUNO first unveiled its industry-disrupting WAVE technology, allowing runners to experience wave-like cushioning and propulsion. However, the exterior design of the early Wave Rider was not well-received by the market, until the launch of the tenth-generation WAVE RIDER 10 in 2007, which completely rewrote history with its highly "aggressive" and avant-garde linear aesthetics. Realizing runners' pursuit of a speed-oriented look, MIZUNO intentionally injected sharper and more dynamic visual elements into the WAVE RIDER 10, successfully winning the favor of runners worldwide.

To coincide with the opening of the global mega-event, the Osaka World Expo in Japan, MIZUNO SPORTSTYLE, which originated in Osaka, has specially crafted the "OSAKA PACK" special edition sneakers — featuring the "MXR DAY" (White) and "MXR NIGHT" (Blue) — to commemorate the occasion. The designs of the shoes draw inspiration from the bustle, vitality, and subway system of Osaka by day, and the city's relentless spirit and neon lights by night, respectively.
The design inspiration for the MXR silhouette stems from the brand's MAXIMIZER series, which debuted in the late 90s. The overall design of the MXR is modeled after the MAXIMIZER 13 launched in 2009, injecting innovative technologies to reinterpret the classic running shoe.
MIZUNO SPORTSTYLE takes the MAXIMIZER13 from the past as the foundation and introduces an all-new MXR model. The MIZUNO MAXIMIZER shoe model was introduced in the late 1990s, and by the 2000s.

Making its debut in 2011, the WAVE PROPHECY series kicked off its legendary journey featuring the revolutionary full-length INFINITY WAVE hollow sole. Now, the brand reinterprets this classic through premium modern craftsmanship, perfectly paying homage to the original's unique sense of balance and highly sculptural silhouette. From the visually striking midsole lines to the slightly upturned toe box designed to accommodate a natural stride, every curve and detail has been meticulously reshaped. While retaining the original’s geometric aesthetics, it further elevates the design to a new peak of functionality perfectly tailored for the modern streets.
